2016 recap

30. 12. 16

2016 was quite interesting to say the least. It was a year of changes for me. The first half is honestly kind of blurry, mixed with feeling down and feeling lost. The other half on the other hand... well that was something else. Still is. Things magically started falling into place, I suddenly felt like the most powerful woman on the planet, capable of everything. Overall, the best decision I made so far was to follow my dreams and pursue my dream career. The best person I met this year is of course my wonderful boyfriend (to be honest I still can't believe how lucky I am to have him in my life). My favorite trip was Toronto, an amazing metropolis, where me and my lovely girlies laughed the days away. What is more, this year I think I finally saw who my real friends were, who my real home team is, so thank you to my girls who stuck with me through thick and thin, I am forever grateful to know you.

Anyway, 2016 was a year of sunsets, feeling lost, finding myself, golden lights, courage, new piercings, new hair colors, new eating habits, old friends, new friends, laughter, happiness, worrying, learning I have to be more carefree, being proud of myself, overcoming challengers, not stopping, failing at life, winning at life, running, nieces and nephews growing up, travelling, discovering new music, replaying old songs, writing quotes, new beginnings, feeling grateful.

How was your 2016? Let me know, I want to hear all about it :)

December

22. 12. 16

I have to say that I have always considered December as one of my favorite months. Not only it satisfies the Christmas n00b in me I hide ever so slightly, it also happens to be my birthday month.
And this year December has been amazing so far. I discovered (yet again) just how incredibly lucky I am to be surrounded with the greatest people on the planet. I still don't know what did I do to deserve the most amazing boyfriend, the bestest friends, this amazing life in general. To quote my fave Christmas movie 'love actually is all around us'. It's everywhere, especially during this magical month.

Okay, by now you probably think I am a little high on love (which is kind of true), but really - if we don't notice and appreciate the magic during Christmas time, when will we?
Hope your December is amazing so far ♡

SKYFINITY #4: Three ways to make YUMMY hot chocolate

20. 12. 16

New week, new #skyfinity collab ♡

Last week Sonia made this amazing DIY calendar (she made it for me last year and I LOVED it), but this week I think it is finally time for us to make something sweet'n'yummy :) That is why I decided to share with you three simple hot chocolate recipes that you can serve at your Christmas party, make for your friends or enjoy yourself :)

First we have the *as I like to call it* NUTELLA GREATNESS
You will need:
  • Nutella (duuh)
  • milk of your choice
  • whipped cream
  • coconut sugar (to sprinkle on top)
All you need to do is heat up the milk, add one tea spoon of Nutella (or more if you wish). Then add the whipped cream and sprinkle some coconut sugar on top.

Secondly, there's the AFTER EIGHT AWESOMENESS
You will need:
  • milk of your choice
  • menthol extract
  • dark chocolate
All you have to do is heat up the milk and add all the ingredients. Yes, it is THAT simple.

And lastly, we have the COCONUT CHRISTMAS
You will need:
  • milk of your choice
  • coconut cream
  • coconut sugar
  • some desiccated coconut (to sprinkle on top)
Yes, I saved the best for the last :) you will need to heat up the milk, then pour in about a tablespoon of coconut cream and add half a teaspoon of coconut sugar. Pour it in your favorite Christmas mug and sprinkle some desiccated coconut on top.

And there you have it :) not only will these beverages satisfy your sweet tooth, they will also keep you warm and make a great Instagram post ♡

SKYFINITY #2: DIY Photo Catcher

5. 12. 16

If you follow me on my Facebook Page you might have seen that me and one of my favorite people Sonia decided to collaborate and prepare 4 special Christmas-inspired  DIY projects that you can make for yourself as well as for your loved ones. She already posted the first part, an amazing DIY body butter which is the perfect remedy for dry and flaky skin.

This week I will be sharing with you a simple yet stunning DIY which is a different way to showcase your precious moments.

Ladies and gentleman, I present you *drumroll* THE PHOTO CATCHER
#muchexcite

You will need:
  • your favorite photos
  • a tree branch
  • a flower crown (I bought mine in New Yorker)
  • crochet thread
  • scissors
  • scotch tape

The first step is to wrap (or glue) the flower crown headband around the tree branch.

Tie two long pieces of thread to the branch and start braiding them (repeat this step two more times - in the middle of the branch and on the other end of the hairband).

Glue the braid to the the back of the photo (I used scotch tape but I think it's even better if you have a glue gun).

The last thing you need to do is to simply tie the tread to each side of the branch so you can later hang it on the wall.

And voilà! Your photo catcher is done :)

November Snippets

3. 12. 16

November marks the beginning of cold nights, cozy blankets, big sweaters, and first conversations about how cold it is. It is also a prelude to one of my favorite months, December. Yes, I am the girl who feels all christmassy and jolly and starts listening to Christmas tunes waay to early. And now I can finally watch Love actually, crack out the Christmas decorations, deck the halls, and frankly, start falalalala-ing all the way *there's no stopping me now*.

Wishing you all a very happy and jolly (my favorite December word) month, filled with laughter, mulled wine, festive activities, and *obviously the most important* food.
